Dorthy Lukens

Dorthy Lukens, Esq. is a legal professional with extensive experience in labor and employment law, currently serving as a Legal Associate at Perkins Coie since June 2020, after completing summer associate roles in 2020 and 2021. Previous experience includes working as an Employment Law Contractor and Extern at PepsiCo, where involvement in employment discrimination claims and COVID-19 legal changes was highlighted. As a Google Legal Scholar, Dorthy gained valuable legal insights, while earlier externship at the U.S. Department of Labor involved significant research and discovery tasks. Dorthy also has a strong human resources background, having held leadership roles at Legacy Heart Care, Trinity Heart Care, Target, Teach For America, and Michigan Campus Compact. Dorthy holds a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law, a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Public Relations from Central Michigan University.
