Italo Affonso

Italo Affonso is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Engineering Database Team Manager at Petrobras since May 2013, where responsibilities include data management of design automation tools and driving a transition to data-centric project design. Previously, Italo held the position of Digital Engineering Coordinator, overseeing innovation projects that leverage digital technologies for surface systems. As an Equipment Engineer - Mechanical, expertise included piping design for pre-salt FPSOs, materials selection, critical equipment fail-mode analysis, and project auditing. Prior experience at Autotrac Comércio e Telecomunicações S.A. involved product engineering and CAD modeling. Italo holds an MBA in Project Management from USP/Esalq (2018-2019) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de Brasília (2008-2012).
