Phillip Jeffries is looking for a leader to join our Supply Chain Team!
As the Director of Supply Chain, this role is to elevate and transform Phillip Jeffries' global supply chain operations, ensuring excellence in procurement, inventory management, and logistics. By designing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with our mission, this role ensures we deliver unparalleled quality and service to our customers while driving innovation and operational efficiency. The Director of Supply Chain plays a critical role in shaping the future of the company by fostering resilience, creating value, and championing sustainability within our supply chain processes. This role exists to inspire excellence, streamline operations, and create a cohesive network of global partners, enabling Phillip Jeffries to remain a leader in the industry and a trusted brand for our clients worldwide. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain.
What you will be doing:
Leadership:
Being a steward of Phillip Jeffries’ Great & Worthy Purpose (GWP), Mission, Vision and Values and having apprentice stewards at every level
Provide world-class quality standards to consistently provide customers what they want, when they want it, the way they want it
Oversee and manage Direct and Indirect Procurement teams from a process improvement standpoint, maximize output, improve processes, shorten lead times and maintain best in quality
Manage the department with lean thinking to increase productivity
Create backup plans, preventative agreements have consistent flow with no breakdowns in process
Commit to personal development, inspiring my team to do the same
Strategic Management:
Propose a compelling 2-year, future-state Supply Chain strategy
Proactively monitoring and assessing Supply Chain trends, emerging practices and industry benchmarks to anticipate and respond to evolving Supply Chain needs
Streamline and optimize Supply Chain processes and systems to improve operational efficiency
Leverage technology solutions to automate workflows, enable data-driven decision making and enhancing Supply Chain analytics capabilities
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams
Change the planning and forecasting module after migrating to new ERP system
Establish forecasting and planning system with mills to reduce lead times
Direct Procurement
Establish strategic sourcing plans for goods and services
Analyze risk involved in the sourcing strategies of mills
Build the right structure for sourcing of goods and services by regions and country
Identify and mitigate risks based on laws and regulations
Manage the relationship with country authorities and complying with all country rules for import and export
Propose strategies for domestic and overseas procurement
Maintain a strong network of vendors worldwide
Pricing
Propose negotiation strategies and guidelines for purchased products
Create strategies for sourcing of goods and services
Recommend guidelines for purchasing of goods and services
Implement and improve Internal SLA’s that help to facilitate the purchasing of goods and services’
Reporting and Analysis:
Report any shortages of supply of raw materials or finished goods
Analyze risks and identify alternative solutions
Propose guidelines for partners contribution to PJ business
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or supply chain, plus 10+ years’ experience in procurement
CPIM or CPM; preferred
Understanding and utilization of DP setup, forecast and planning
Strong negotiation skills
Leadership skills and manage overseas team
Preferably a background in textiles
Must have experience with Direct/Indirect Procurement
Microsoft applications with intermediate in excel & PowerPoint, outlook.
Experience managing deadlines
Understanding of budgets & compensation plans
Excellent presentations skills
Ability to hire, train, & manage a team
Experience managing team in different roles and in remote positions.
“Can-do” attitude, willingness to roll up sleeves and get dirty
Project management skills
Team player: excellence in collaboration with our other departments
