Dennis Vauk

Director, Hydroprocessing Technology at Phillips 66

Dennis Vauk has over 40 years of extensive experience in hydroprocessing technology and process engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Hydroprocessing Technology at Phillips 66 since July 2013, Dennis has contributed to advancements in hydrogen optimization and refinery processes. Previous roles include Senior Process Consultant at Air Liquide, where responsibilities included managing proposals and conducting hydrogen audits for refineries, as well as strategic planning for low sulfur fuels at Koch Petroleum Group. Dennis also held positions at Koch Industries as Hydroprocessing Technology Leader, enhancing refinery profitability through coordinated technology improvements, and at Unocal as Senior Engineering Associate, managing conceptual designs and project execution within hydroprocessing units. Dennis completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Idaho.
