Ilana Freidman

Ilana Freidman is an experienced agronomist currently working at Prospera Technologies since March 2021. Prior to this role, Ilana served as an MSc student at the Volcani Center from June 2018 to January 2021, where the thesis focused on developing a porous silicon optical biosensor for detecting mycotoxins in field crops. Earlier experience includes positions as an undergraduate research assistant at Smartzyme Biopharma and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment. Ilana's career began in the information technology sector, with roles including information technology specialist at Bayer Pharmaceuticals and various IT positions in the Israel Defense Forces. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in sustainability and ecology with a focus on biosensors and nanoengineering from Bar-Ilan University and a Bachelor's degree in plant sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
