The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) is a community supported, locally focused 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that has proudly promoted and protected the natural resources, rural economy, history and beauty of the Virginia Piedmont since 1972. 

PEC empowers residents to protect what makes the Piedmont a wonderful place, and works with citizens to conserve land, protect air and water quality, celebrate historic resources, build smart transportation networks, promote sustainable energy choices, restore wildlife habitat and improve people’s access to nature.

Headquartered in Warrenton, VA, we have offices throughout a nine county Piedmont region that includes Albemarle, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties.

The Advancement and Fundraising team at the Piedmont Environmental Council focuses on securing financial support and resources to enhance the organization's conservation efforts. This team cultivates relationships with donors, manages grants, and coordinates fellowship opportunities to ensure sustainable funding for local environmental initiatives. By engaging the community and stakeholders, they advance PEC's mission to protect and promote the natural and historical significance of the Virginia Piedmont.
