Calvin Echodu is the Founder of Pilgrim Africa. He is a journalist by training, and a visionary, charismatic, social entrepreneur, who has led Pilgrim into areas such as the relief, trauma counselling, and resettlement assistance of internally displaced Ugandans; extensive work in the area of community health and malaria eradication; and basic community development such as schools and education.
In addition to the previous efforts, Pilgrim Africa operates with a view towards the future of Uganda, and has conducted significant research and development of biodiesel and other sustainable rural technologies. He brings to the board dynamic leadership and fundraising experience. Calvin received his BA at Makerere University and completed his MBA at Seattle University.
