Ian Scorah

Ian Scorah is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel at PIMCO since February 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing UK and EMEA legal, regulatory, and corporate matters, as well as managing the client contracting team and overseeing ESG legal matters. Prior to this role, Ian held various consulting positions, including engagements at Baring Asset Management and placements at Citigroup, BlackRock, and Farallon Capital. Ian also served as Head of Legal at Newco, where responsibilities included establishing a start-up asset management company. With a legal career that began in 1995 at Travers Smith and includes positions at Hermes Fund Managers and Morley Fund Management, Ian has developed a robust expertise in investment law and fund regulation. Ian holds a BA in Law from the University of Oxford and a Legal Practice Course qualification from the College of Law York.
