Carmela Asmar

Carmela Asmar is a current Texas Student Recruiter at The University of Texas at Austin, providing prospective students with application information and advice. As the founder of the CAP Club at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Carmela has connected over 200 individuals within the Coordinated Admissions Program to enhance retention. Additional experience includes serving as a summer intern at Eagle Landing Resort and as a TSM Social Media Influencer for Moody College of Communication, where partnerships with organizations aimed to boost engagement. Previously, Carmela gained experience as a speech and debate judge for the National Speech & Debate Association, an assistant manager and fulfillment specialist at Feel Foxy, and an HR generalist and social media intern for the City of Houston. Carmela Asmar is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Media at The University of Texas at Austin, with a minor in Religious Studies, after completing a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Early education includes a Distinguished Level Achievement High School Diploma from Seven Lakes High School.
