Kate Halvorsen

Kate Halvorsen is an experienced product designer with a strong focus on design systems and accessibility. Currently serving as a Staff Product Designer at Pinterest since September 2021, Kate previously held the role of Product Designer at Grubhub, where collaboration on living design system components was key. At United Airlines, Kate contributed to the growth of the Atmos Design System, developing reusable components and educational resources. Kate's career also includes positions at Grainger, where collaboration on user-centered solutions was emphasized, and Winona State University, where significant improvements in website traffic and user experience were achieved. Additional experiences include graphic design roles at Capture Marketing and Minnesota Zoo, as well as foundational work in video production. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Winona State University and has studied abroad in drawing at Florence University of the Arts.
