Michael McDermott

Michael McDermott is a seasoned professional in the marine and defence sectors, currently serving as THM Sales & Service Manager at Pirtek UK and Ireland since August 2023. Prior to this role, Michael worked as a Marine Operator for Associated British Ports from June to September 2023. Michael's extensive experience includes over a decade at Hydrasun, where responsibilities included planning and managing Integrity Management surveys for MOD vessels and the nuclear sector, along with conducting surveys of flexible hose assemblies for various industries. Michael began a career in engineering with the Royal Navy as a Petty Officer in Weapons Engineering from January 1996 to February 2007. Michael's educational background includes studies at the University of Portsmouth and Blackpool & Flyde Sixth Form College.
