Leah Villanueva

Leah Villanueva, P. Eng, serves as a Cavern Integrity Engineer at Plains Midstream Canada since August 2023, managing mechanical integrity testing and workovers of cavern and disposal wells while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Prior to this role, Leah worked at Westgen Technologies Inc. as an Applications Engineer, simplifying technical discussions for Instrumentation Air and Power Generation equipment. Earlier experience includes a Design Engineer I position at Fluor Corporation, focusing on project engineering and vendor coordination. Leah co-founded Bear Necessities Calgary, which supports homeless populations, and has held various roles including Campaign Associate with United Way of Calgary and Area and Operations Coordinator with Leftovers Foundation. Leah's educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Petroleum from the University of Calgary, completed in 2016.
