Dena Allen

Dena Allen serves as the Vice President of Communications & Public Engagement at Plan International Canada since May 2018, bringing extensive experience in strategic communications and public affairs. Previously, Dena held the role of Executive Director of Public Affairs & Engagement at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs from January 2016 to May 2018. Dena's earlier positions include Senior Media & Public Relations Manager at Plan Canada and various roles at Plan International, including Emergency Communications Manager and Asia Regional Communications Manager. Dena's career in communications began with the Canadian Red Cross as Public Affairs Coordinator, followed by positions in government and education, including teaching English as a second language. Dena holds a Certificate of Advanced Strategic Leadership from the University of Toronto and a Master's degree in International and Intercultural Communications from Royal Roads University.
