Vanessa James

Vanessa James is a seasoned professional in philanthropy and community development, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Corporate & Foundation Philanthropy at Plan International Canada since July 2023. Vanessa has a comprehensive background in donor relations, having previously held the position of Donor Relations Manager at One Girl Can and Manager of Philanthropy at Plan International Canada, where the focus was on advancing children's rights and promoting gender equality. Prior experience includes significant roles in community planning, sales and marketing for social enterprises, and support of UN Peacekeeping Missions. Vanessa holds a Master of Arts in Collaborative International Development Studies from the University of Guelph and has additional qualifications in geomatics and geography.
