Charcey Petersen

Charcey Petersen has a diverse background in computer science and software engineering, currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Des Moines Area Community College since August 2022 and as a Senior Software Engineer at Granular since January 2022. Previous roles include Software Engineer at John Deere and Granular, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Northern Iowa, where responsibilities included overseeing a computer science lab and assisting students. Charcey was also recognized as a Grace Hopper Celebration Scholar by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology and gained valuable experience as a Geographic Information System Intern for the Iowa Department of Transportation, focusing on GIS support and automation with Python. Charcey holds a degree in Geographic Information Science and Computer Science from the University of Northern Iowa.
