Maurice Schoenert

Maurice Schoenert is a Remote Sensing Specialist with extensive experience in image quality assurance, calibration, and validation at Planet Labs since January 2016. Prior to this role, Maurice worked at BlackBridge Corporate, where responsibilities included co-registering Landsat 8 to RapidEye and estimating biophysical parameters for precision crop management. Maurice began a career in remote sensing as a working student and research assistant intern, focusing on Tasseled Cap coefficients and image enhancement. Maurice completed an internship at EFTAS Fernerkundung, specializing in land use classification and change detection, and contributed to research at Fraunhofer IAIS on Open Government Data. Maurice holds a Master of Science in Geography with a focus on Geomatics from Ruhr University Bochum.
