Sylvia Townsend

Sylvia Townsend, SHRM-CP, currently serves as a Sr. Human Resources Generalist at Playworks, where employment began in March 2016, and has held various roles in human resources. Prior experience includes serving as Communications Director and Communications Manager at East Meets West, a program of Thrive Networks, from November 2011 to January 2016. Sylvia's experience also encompasses positions as an Immigration Specialist and Site Manager at the International Rescue Committee from 2003 to 2007. Educationally, Sylvia holds a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Slavic Languages and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, completed in 1986 and 1984, respectively.
