Brian Budden is President and Chief Executive Officer of Plenary Americas.
Brian has significant experience across a full spectrum of publicly-procured Public-Private Partnership (P3) infrastructure projects in both Canada and the United States. He joined Plenary nearly 15 years ago, originally leading, structuring and closing project bids before taking over leadership of the North American Origination and Commercial teams in 2014. He was appointed in 2016 to succeed the founder as President & CEO. Brian sits on the Boards of Directors for Plenary Americas and for all of Plenary’s North American projects.
Under Brian’s leadership, Plenary Americas earned the distinction of being named one of Waterstone Human Capital’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. The company is also endorsed as a Best Workplace for Inclusion and Mental Wellness and is designated as a Great Place to Work in both the US and Canada. Before joining Plenary, Brian practiced corporate restructuring at a Bay Street law firm, exited law by returning to receive his MBA from Dartmouth College (Tuck), and, subsequently, led acquisitions, divestitures and strategic initiatives at a subsidiary of Magna International. Brian is a member of YPO and has been active in mentoring and service on charitable boards.
