Guoguang Zhang

Guoguang Zhang is a Staff Research Engineer at Plus since February 2022, focusing on behavior planning through deep reinforcement learning and deep learning-based vehicle modeling. Prior experience includes serving as an Algorithm Development Engineer at Aptiv from August 2017 to February 2022, where Guoguang developed motion planning and control algorithms for autonomous driving and led an R&D project. As a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University from August 2013 to August 2017, Guoguang specialized in vehicle state estimation and controls. A research internship at Ford Motor Company in summer 2017 involved robust control for the Ford eWheelDrive electric vehicle. Guoguang holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and is currently enrolled in the Computer Science Master's program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to complete in May 2024.
