Zhichao Liu

Zhichao Liu is a seasoned professional in the fields of motion prediction and planning with extensive experience in autonomous driving systems and electrical engineering. Currently, Zhichao serves as a Motion Prediction/Planning Software Development Engineer at Plus since October 2023. Previously, from August 2019 to September 2023, Zhichao held the position of Tech Lead Manager of Vehicle Motion Control at QCraft, leading a team in motion control architectures, algorithms, and spatial-temporal trajectory optimization. Prior experiences include internships focused on motion control and design for autonomous systems at American Haval Motor Technology LLC, as well as foundational roles in electrical engineering at Shanghai Baosight Software Co., Ltd., Philips Lighting, and GE. Zhichao holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of South Carolina, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees from East China University of Science and Technology.
