Herbert Schalkwijk

Herbert Schalkwijk holds extensive experience in retail leadership, currently serving as Directeur Winkeloperatie at PLUS Retail since October 2023. Prior to this, Herbert held the position of CEO at Epplejeck, the largest equestrian sports chain in the Benelux, from October 2022 to October 2023. Herbert's tenure as CEO at Bakker Bart spanned eight years, during which significant growth and development occurred. From August 2012 to October 2014, Herbert led Brainwash kappers, the fastest-growing hair salon retail organization in the Netherlands, managing approximately 160 locations. Herbert's career at C1000 lasted from January 1999 to August 2012, where roles included Directeur Retail Expert Centrum and Senior Projectleider for various initiatives. Earlier, Herbert worked as Bedrijfsadviseur/Projectmanager at Videoland Nederland B.V. from March 1995 to December 1998. Herbert's educational background includes studies at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Griftland College.
