Kathryn Carlson

Kathryn Carlson is a finance reporter at POLITICO Europe since January 2024, previously serving as a financial services correspondent for MLex Market Insight from July 2021 to January 2024. Earlier roles include working as a regulatory reporter at MLex, an Europe reporter at Chemical Watch, and a Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament. Kathryn also gained experience as a producer/reporter at Reuters TV and completed a journalist trainee program at the European University Institute. Initial journalism experience includes internships at The Times and The Sun News as a Murdoch Scholar. Kathryn holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, obtained from 2015 to 2018.
