Matt James

Matt James is an experienced Controls Engineer currently employed at POLYTEC GROUP since September 2018. Prior to this role, Matt served as Lead Engineer at Dematic from April 2016 to September 2018, where responsibilities included leading a maintenance team for automated storage and retrieval systems in a logistical distribution center, ensuring safe and efficient operations along with maintenance scheduling. Matt's career began in the Royal Navy, where from April 2004 to April 2016, Matt held the position of Chief Petty Officer, gaining expertise as an Artificer Apprentice with a strong background in diesel engines, heavy electrical systems, and associated PLC control systems.
