Jose M. Martinez

Jose M. Martinez, CEC, CCA, serves as the General Manager of Dining Services at Pomona College since June 2018. Martinez has been a Board Member of the MCURC Executive Chef Committee since July 2017, contributing to the Menus of Change University Research Collaborative. As a Consulting Chef at CCD Innovation since October 2015, Martinez has leveraged expertise in culinary management after previously holding positions such as Pacific Region Culinary Chair for NACUFS from September 2017 to September 2019, and Assistant Director of Culinary at the University of California, Berkeley from February 2015 to June 2018. Additional experience includes managing residential dining as Kitchen Manager at the University of Southern California, serving as Executive Chef at Salute of Bellevue, and working as a Chef for JPL Contractor at Caltech. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Science/Culinology from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Pasadena and an Associate's Degree in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
