Norma Pontet Ubal

Norma Pontet Ubal is the President of aurco.uy since March 2016, also serving as Vice President and Academic Coordinator at Universidad ORT Uruguay since 2008, overseeing various academic programs in business, finance, and accounting. With extensive teaching experience, Norma holds visiting professor positions at multiple institutions, including Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and Universidad Nacional de Rosario, and has held roles at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and Universidad ICESI. In addition to academic commitments, Norma has served as President of the Inter-American Accounting Association’s Accounting Research Commission and as an independent researcher recognized at Level I by the National System of Researchers from 2009 to 2019. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Managerial Accounting from the University of Valencia and multiple master's degrees in finance, management, and port management.
