Sjors Oenen

Sjors Oenen has significant experience in maritime and environmental roles, currently serving as Beleidsadviseur Divisie Havenmeester at the Port of Amsterdam since September 2020. Previously, Sjors worked as Senior Inspecteur Gevaarlijke Stoffen en Milieu at Havenbedrijf Amsterdam from March 2016 to September 2020, and as Inspecteur Gevaarlijke stoffen & Milieu before that. A captain since 2011, Sjors held roles as Kapitein at MF Shipping Group and s.v.o. Flinterboreas C.V / Itasqua Shipping from 2008 to 2016. Earlier maritime experience includes positions at Clearwater Group and JR Shipping, beginning as a 2de stuurman and advancing to 1ste stuurman. Sjors earned an Associate Degree in Land- en Watermanagement from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences between 2019 and 2021 and completed education at Maritieme Academie IJmuiden from 2000 to 2005.
