Brenda Obilo

Brenda Obilo is an experienced program manager with a robust background in grants management and partnerships in Africa. Currently serving as a Program Manager and Bilingual Grants Manager at Porticus since August 2021, Brenda oversees grant-making initiatives and manages relationships with grantees and regional networks. Previous roles include Project Consultant at Thomson Reuters Foundation, where Brenda coordinated an ESG investing working group, and Regional Bilingual Programme Assistant at the International Development Research Centre, managing project data across various Sub-Saharan African countries. Brenda's earlier experience includes leading refugee resettlement initiatives at the High Commission of Canada and contributing to humanitarian response projects with Christian Aid. Brenda holds an MSc in Poverty Reduction: Policy and Practice with a focus on Inclusive Growth from SOAS University of London and a BA in Development Studies from Maseno University.
