Leah Bruns

Leah Bruns, MPPM, serves as the Deputy Director and Director of Voucher Programs at Portland Housing Authority since October 2019. In addition to this role, Leah Bruns is a Board Member of the Quality Housing Coalition since April 2022. Previous experience includes serving as the Homeless Initiatives Manager at MaineHousing from April 2014 to October 2019, a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Child Welfare Resource Center for Organizational Improvement from October 2012 to April 2014, and the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Coordinator at The Opportunity Alliance from May 2009 to July 2012. Earlier in career, Leah Bruns worked as a Case Management professional in Early Head Start at Peoples Regional Opportunity Program from May 2000 to May 2009. Education includes studies at the Muskie School of Public Service, the SALT Institute for Documentary Studies, and the University of Southern Maine, where a degree in Sociology was obtained.
