Joanne Sterling

Joanne Sterling is currently a Trustee at the Portland Museum of Art, and has previously worked as an Instructional Designer for Harvard University and Harvard Business School. In their role as an Instructional Designer, Joanne was responsible for designing and developing online training modules, creating work instructions and online training resources, and updating employee learning management systems. Joanne also created Captivate simulations and wrote context-sensitive help for PeopleSoft and Oracle Business Intelligence tools. In their role as VP Communications for the Greater Boston ASTD, Joanne was responsible for writing and updating over 50 work instructions, as well as creating Captivate simulations and recording scripts.

Joanne Sterling has a BA from Emmanuel College (Boston) in English/Education/Art Theirtory, a M.Ed. from Suffolk University in Reading Education, and has completed coursework in Educational Technology at Boston University. Joanne also has a Certificate in Software Technical Writing from Bentley University and a Certificate in eCommerce from Carnegie Mellon University. In addition, they have a certification from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional.
