Robert Elwood is a seasoned legal professional with extensive expertise in tax law and investment management. As Co-Founder and Partner at Practus, LLP since January 2018, Robert has focused on providing an innovative approach that emphasizes economic practicality and technological efficiency. Previously, as Managing Partner at 1940 Act Law Group, Robert offered sophisticated tax advice and successfully saved a mutual fund complex over $500 million in a federal tax controversy. Robert's experience also includes a role as Partner at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads LLP, where the focus was on tax matters related to investment management and business transactions, and an earlier tenure as Partner at Dechert, specializing in the tax aspects of various investment vehicles. Robert holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from Haverford College.
