Rene C. Fonte

Rene Fonte is a Manager in the Tax Department of Prager Metis, a member of Prager Metis International Group. Rene has been in the accounting profession for over 20 years.

Rene specializes in reviewing and preparing S-Corp, C-Corp (Combined and Consolidated), Partnerships, Trust, Gift, and Tax-Exempt tax returns. She has also conducted tax planning and research for individuals and businesses. Rene’s clients include business entities and High-Net-Worth individuals.

Rene believes that actively listening is a great way to learn a lot about her clients and helps her personalize her service to their personalities and needs. Responding to client emails and calls in a timely matter, usually the same day, makes them feel important and acknowledged. Rene also maintains a positive attitude even when dealing with stress and deadlines, as she believes that is key to respecting her clients.

Prior to joining Prager Metis, Rene was a Tax Manager at a CPA firm in La Jolla, CA. Also, due to her experience at a large tax software company, Rene is very passionate about utilizing technology to its fullest, and believes innovation is key to increased efficiencies, leaner processes, higher productivity, and viability of any company in these constantly changing times.
