Maarten van Wesemael

Maarten van Wesemael currently serves as the Managing Director for the Middle East and Asia at Prax, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Maarten was a Partner and Head of Energy Transition at Altimapa Capital from January 2022 to January 2023, and served as Chief Financial Officer at BritNRG Limited from September 2021 to January 2023. Maarten’s experience also includes positions at Lloyds Banking Group, where Maarten held the roles of Head of Energy & Commodities and Head of Oil & Gas, EMEA between 2013 and 2020. Earlier in their career, Maarten was a Director at BNP Paribas, focusing on Oil and Gas and leading trade finance in the UK, and was a Global Relationship Manager at ING Group. Maarten holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Dutch and Fiscal Law.
