Sam Wadsworth

Sam Wadsworth is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as an Independent Board Member at Precision BioSciences, Inc. since 2022, Sam previously held the role of Senior Scientific Advisor and Chief Scientific Officer at Ultragenyx between January 2017 and January 2025. Additionally, Sam was the Chief Scientific Officer at Dimension Therapeutics from August 2013 to November 2017 and led Gene Therapy R&D at Sanofi Genzyme for two decades, from August 1993 to August 2013. Sam earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Virology from the University of Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Microbiology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
