Elon Cook Lee

Elon Cook Lee is an accomplished professional in interpretation and education with extensive experience in cultural heritage and public history. Currently serving as the Director of Interpretation and Education at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Elon also operates Liberation Heritage Consulting, focusing on workshops that promote inclusive narratives surrounding racial history. Roles have included Historic House Consultant at The Robbins House, Andrew W. Mellon Faculty Fellow in the Costumes and Textiles Department at RISD Museum, and Adjunct Professor at Rhode Island School of Design. With a strong academic background, including a Master of Arts in Public/Applied History from Brown University, Elon has dedicated efforts to training, research, and program development aimed at amplifying underrepresented histories in various museum and educational contexts.
