Position Overview

The Senior Director of Business Development, HEMA, will be vital to PRIA meeting revenue and commercial growth targets. This remote position will be responsible for finding and closing new business opportunities for PRIA’s services, developing and pitching service proposals that align with the client’s needs, cultivating industry relationships, and partnering with internal colleagues to stay current with market access trends and healthcare policy. This position requires a seasoned business development person, who expertly navigates the pipeline process.

Current PRIA Competencies/ Areas of Focus: Healthcare Economic Services including reimbursement landscape assessment, U.S. market opportunity and pricing assessments, evidence generation strategy, coding applications, new payment assignments, economic modeling, and strategic alignment for market access. Market Access services including clinical trial reimbursement programs, patient access platform solutions, comprehensive hotlines (pull through and push through), and payer engagement services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This revenue-focused, impact player, reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development.
  • Collaborates daily with commercial, strategic, and market access teammates to successfully move opportunities through pipeline.
  • Base salary plus commission role, is directly responsible for individual quarterly and annual quota. All metrics and performance to be aligned with PRIA’s business needs.
  • Actively takes the lead at conferences and other industry networking events to promote PRIA’s services. Includes: Pre-show preparations, arranging meetings, collaborating with fellow attendees, post-show meeting follow up, and assistance with marketing efforts.
  • Using both inside and outside sales methods, the Director of Business Development HEMA, consistently achieves pipeline growth targets.
  • Daily Salesforce usage to capture activities, meetings, and opportunities. Consistently maintained and reviewed weekly on commercial call with leadership.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree required - Business, Communications, or Health Policy degreed preferred
  • 8+ years of outside, Business Development/ Sales experience with proven track record of consistent success.
  • 2+ years of experience selling healthcare economics and market access services with proven track record of meeting growth targets.
  • Hunter Mentality: Complex pipeline management experience
  • Strong listening skills as well as excellent written and oral communications
  • Ability to attend conferences, workshops, and industry events on evenings and weekends; travel estimate: 30-40%
