Chaun Powell

Chaun Powell currently serves as President of Elevate by Principal at Principal Financial Group since July 2023. Powell has extensive experience in academia and business, holding the position of Graduate Level Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business since January 2015, teaching courses on ethical leadership and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Principal Financial Group, Powell worked at Premier Inc. as Group Vice President of Growth & Innovation, where responsibility included advancing healthcare innovation. Previous roles include Vice President of US Sales and Business Development at Emerge Medical, Chief Executive Officer- Interim at Canopy Advisory Group, and National Director of Orthopedics at Cardinal Health, showcasing a strong background in sales, strategy, and leadership within the healthcare sector. Powell’s educational credentials include an MBA obtained from the University of Denver and a certification in Petroleum Land Management.
