Stefan spent the first 15 years of his career in software development, project and program management, technology research and development, and technology consulting before commencing his legal education, culminating in a Ph.D. in technology law.
He is currently an Independent Panel Chair at the Parole Board for England and Wales which determines whether prisoners can be safely released into the community. Stefan also works as a legal and commercial advisor and consultant and is an investor in a handful of early-stage technology companies. He is a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists where he chairs its Charitable Trust. Stefan also sits as a Berkshire Family Magistrate and is a trustee of The Inside Out Trust, supporting the rehabilitation of ex-offenders in Berkshire.
He has been a governor of Lilian Baylis Technology School in Lambeth and was a founder governor of the Hammersmith Academy; a joint venture between the WCIT and the Mercers’ Company.
