Ammani Nair

Engineering Lead at Propelland

Ammani Nair is an engineering lead at Propelland. Ammani has also worked as an industrial designer at NoRilla, a start-up company, and as an architect at Aansav Realty & Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. In addition, they have served as a research assistant at the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University.

Nair has led product development of physical components for new mixed-reality educational games in an interdisciplinary team with the co-founder, asoftware engineer and a UI designer. Ammani has also contributed to content design and website management using Squarespace and CSS scripting. In addition, they have contributed to scaling of the product for manufactures through discussions with design partners and manufacturing vendors. Nair has also assisted in the deployment of products to schools & museums.

At Aansav Realty & Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Nair created working drawings, provided material analytics and oversaw construction of the largest housing development in Goa. Ammani also ensured teams consistent progress to achieve deliverables 6 months ahead of schedule.

As a research assistant at the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, Nair’s responsibilities included assisting with data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and report writing.

Ammani Nair has a Master of Integrated Innovation for Products & Services from Carnegie Mellon University - Integrated Innovation Institute, a Bachelor of Architecture - BArch from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and a High School diploma from Army Public School, Pune. Ammani also attended Sanskriti School, New Delhi and International School of Prague.
