Ben Lyons

Ben Lyons has extensive experience in planning and infrastructure, currently serving as Chair of the Planning and Infrastructure Committee and Deputy Chair of the Planning Committee at Property Council of Australia since January 2019. Lyons is a Life Member and has held various leadership roles, including Past President and President, at The Committee for Brisbane since November 2007. As Director of Planning at Urbis since May 2018, Lyons also contributes to the Brisbane City Council as a member of the Independent Design Advisory Panel. Previous roles include Strategic Development Manager and Principal at Cardno, Team Manager and Principal at Cardno HRP, and Associate at Humphreys Reynolds Perkins Planning Consultants. Early career positions include Planner at B + P Surveys and Student Planner at the Queensland Department of State Development. Education was pursued at Queensland University of Technology from 1998 to 2000.
