Folkert de Jong

Folkert de Jong has extensive experience in pastoral care and community engagement, currently serving as a Dominee/Pastor at Protestantse Kerk in Nederland since September 2012, with a focus on youth, families, and mission. Previously, Folkert held positions as a Dominee and proponent, actively seeking a church community characterized by courage, vision, and camaraderie. Prior experience includes working in thuiszorg at Careyn from January 2010 to June 2014, as well as volunteering at the Ujamaa Centre in South Africa, where Folkert participated in contextual Bible study and empowerment programs. Folkert holds a Master's degree in Theological and Ministerial Studies from PthU (2009-2011) and a Master's degree in Theology/Theological Studies from Utrecht University (2004-2009).
