John Woods is currently the Director at Prove, and they have held this position since February of 2017. Prior to their current role, John served as the Chief Financial Officer for MUFG from July 2013 to February 2017. In this role, they were responsible for the corporate strategy, CCAR and capital planning, Treasury, Controllers, Corporate Development Financial Budgeting/forecasting, Business Unit Finance and Financial operations for MUFG in North and South America, including MUFG Union Bank and foreign branch operations based in NY.
From October 2009 to June 2013, John Woods served as the Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer for Union Bank. In this role, they were responsible for the corporate strategy, CCAR and capital planning, Treasury, Controllers, Corporate Development Financial Budgeting/forecasting, Business Unit Finance and Financial operations.
Prior to their work at Union Bank, John Woods was the CFO for JPMorgan Chase (and WaMu predecessor entity) from December 2005 to October 2009. In this role, they were responsible for Home Lending. Before JPMorgan Chase, John Woods was the CFO for Funding and Investments/Corporate Controller at Freddie Mac from April 2002 to October 2005.
In addition to their work as a financial officer for various companies, John Woods has also served on the board for Prove Identity, Inc. since December of 2005 and they are currently the Audit Committee Chair. Prior to their work in the private sector, John Woods was a Partner at Arthur Andersen LLP from September 1986 to March 2002.
John Woods attended the University of Virginia, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce.
