Alicia Cook

Alicia Cook is an experienced educator with a diverse background in special education and English language arts. Currently serving as an ESL ELA Teacher at Providence Public Schools since September 2020, Alicia previously worked at the Academy for Career Exploration as a Special Education Teacher. Alicia's teaching career began at SHEILA C SKIP NOWELL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, where Alicia held dual roles as a Special Education and Founding Teacher as well as an English Language Arts and Founding Teacher. Additional experience includes positions as a Student Teacher at Harmony Hill School, Substitute Teacher at Cranston Public Schools, and Reading Interventionist at YMCA of Greater Providence. Alicia's educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Providence College, a Teaching Certificate in Secondary English from Providence College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations/Marketing Communications from Simmons University.
