Cees Dijkhuizen

Cees Dijkhuizen has extensive experience in regional economic policy and local government. Currently serving as an adviser in regional economic policy for Provincie Overijssel since December 2017, Cees has also been a member of the municipal council for Gemeente Elburg since July 2013. Prior positions include program manager for mobility and senior adviser for urban economy at Gemeente Zwolle from December 2010 to November 2017, as well as senior adviser for economics at Gemeente Dronten from June 2007 to November 2010. Earlier roles featured positions at Gemeente Nunspeet as an economic policy officer and secretary of the appeals committee, alongside serving as a legal officer for social affairs and income. Cees began the professional career as a consultant for social affairs at De Langhenkel Groep. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Social and Institutional Economics from Utrecht University, completed from 1998 to 2002.
