Gerard Nienhuis

Gerard Nienhuis is an experienced Advisor in Data Management at Provincie Overijssel since January 2013, specializing in functional management of Geoportaal and Tableau, data management, and metadata management. Notable achievements include leading data projects such as the reconstruction of Geoportaal and the implementation of BRMO, while serving as a liaison for foundational registrations such as BGT, BRT, BAG, BRK, and NHR. Previously, Gerard held roles as a GIS advisor and as a GIS expert and information analyst for IPO and Provincie Overijssel, with a strong background in information systems development at the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) and RIVM. Gerard Nienhuis holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Biology from Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht, obtained between 1980 and 1989.
