Tie Roefs

Tie Roefs is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in political and educational roles. Currently serving as Opleidingshoofd at UC Leuven-Limburg since September 2022, Roefs also holds positions as a Gemeenteraadslid for Stad Leuven and a Bestuurslid for POM Vlaams-Brabant, both since January 2022. Roefs has been active in provincial politics as Fractievoorzitter provincieraad Vlaams-Brabant and Gedeputeerde since September 2014, overseeing daily provincial governance while coordinating specific tasks assigned by federal and Flemish authorities. Previous roles include Directeur at MARIA BOODSCHAP BRUSSEL ANNUNTIATEN, Docent, and Opleidingsmanager at Thomas More-hogeschool, and various board memberships from 2011 to 2019. Roefs holds multiple degrees from KU Leuven and Université catholique de Louvain, including a Licentiaat in History and Political Science.
