Tom Dehaene

Tom Dehaene has extensive experience in public service and finance. Since February 2015, Tom Dehaene has served as Onder voorzitter rvb at De Vlaamse Waterweg nv and has been a Gedeputeerde voor mobiliteit, smart region, PIVO, stedenbouw HV en internationalisering at Provincie Vlaams-Brabant since December 2012, focusing on housing, mobility, culture, urban planning, the Flemish Rand, and internationalization. Tom Dehaene's political career includes membership in CD&V since 1987 and serving as a Vlaams Parlementslid and Vlaams Volksvertegenwoordiger from 2004 to December 2012. Additional experience includes serving as OCMW voorzitter/schepen in Zemst from 2000 to December 2012 and a notable tenure at the InterContinental Hotels Group in various financial roles from 1994 to 2004. Tom Dehaene holds a degree in boekhouden from Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen and studied at Katholieke Universiteit Brussel.
