Wencheng Li

Wencheng Li is an accomplished bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in drug discovery and gene therapy research. As Director of Bioinformatics at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. since July 2015, Wencheng Li has led a team focusing on RNAseq data analysis, vector design for AAV gene therapy, and the development of gene expression control systems. Previous roles include Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, where Wencheng Li conducted significant research involving proteomics, rare genetic disorder databases, and splicing-modulating compounds. Prior experience includes research at Rutgers University and South China University of Technology, coupled with a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Huazhong Agricultural University.
