Rui Soares

Rui Soares is an accomplished photographer with extensive experience in photojournalism and documentary photography, currently serving as a workaholic at The Azores Fixers since January 2021. Rui's background includes collaborative roles at notable organizations such as Público, Time Out Portugal, and Reuters, as well as freelance work in Lisbon since 2009. Additional positions have included photography roles at Grupo Parlamentar Partido Socialista - Açores, Arquipelago - Centro de Artes Contemporaneas dos Açores, Azorean Spirit Magazine, and Jornal i. Rui completed education at the IPF - Instituto Portugues de Fotografia from 2009 to 2011, cultivating a deep passion for photography.
