Kuang Keng Kuek Ser is an accomplished data journalist and editor with significant experience in the field of data journalism. Currently serving as a Data Editor at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting since April 2021, Kuang also works as a Competition Officer for the Sigma Awards, which recognizes outstanding data journalism initiatives worldwide. As the founder of Data-N, a training program for newsrooms, Kuang focuses on enhancing the capabilities of organizations with limited resources. Past roles include Data Journalist at Public Radio International, where research and data-driven storytelling were key responsibilities, and a freelance digital journalist dedicated to amplifying underreported communities. With a Master’s degree in digital innovation and new media from New York University and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuang combines technical expertise with a passion for impactful journalism.
