Thiago Andrade

Thiago Andrade, PhD, is a Senior Materials Expert at Punch Powertrain since May 2018, specializing in the development and implementation of transmission fluids and materials for continuously variable transmission (CVT) and e-DCT systems. Thiago has led significant innovations, including e-DCT oil development for Stellantis and advancements in laser beam welding processes. Previously, Thiago held roles at Eaton Truck Components as a Materials Engineering Specialist and Metallurgical Laboratory Team Leader, contributing to materials technology, failure analysis, and project management. Early career experience includes a position as a Materials Engineer Trainee at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Thiago holds a PhD in Tribology of High Performance Polymers and a Master's in Metals from the Universidade de São Paulo, along with a degree in Materials Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa.
